Coastview is a combat zone in Pacifica and the gateway to Dogtown. It was meant to be part of a luxury resort. Today the unfinished Grand Imperial Mall, Batty's Hotel and the Pacifica Pier stand empty or half built. The Voodoo Boys decide who comes in.
History
Around 2070, investors tried to restart the Pacifica resort project. Local communities had already turned the unfinished district into favelas, and the Voodoo Boys resisted every attempt to clear them out.
Police raids led to weeks of riots. The chief of police pulled his units out, and the city council cut all services to Pacifica in the hope of forcing people to leave. Coastview has been a combat zone ever since.

Life in Coastview
Neither the police nor the corporations have any power in Coastview. Gang fights and drug trade are part of daily life, and outsiders are not welcome.
The district carries much of the Voodoo Boys storyline, and the Pacifica Serenity Bible Church hides the old maglev tunnel.
Coastview is the northern part of Pacifica, bordering West Wind Estate and the Combat Zone. Its market, Batty's Hotel and the Pacifica Serenity Bible Church lie in the heart of Voodoo Boys territory. Their hold weakens around the Grand Imperial Mall, the homeless camps and the old Ferris wheel, where the Scavengers rule.
Gangs
The Voodoo Boys guard the community, and the Animals and the Scavengers also operate here.
