Ezekiel Saw the Wheel is a side job set in BuryGer, a small diner in Arroyo, Santo Domingo. After Playing for Time, V can order a drink from the owner and take a stool at the bar, and three gangers burst in to rob the place. How V handles them decides whether the owner is grateful, or throws V out.

Story

A Bad Joke

Johnny tells a joke in the journal: V walks into a bar and gets robbed. The end. Then he groans at V's terrible luck. V had better think of something fast, or their epic story ends in the stupidest way imaginable. Accidental deaths do not sit well with him, or with the birth of legends.

The Robbery

Shortly after V orders, the three gangers walk in and start to rob the customers. A timed conversation follows, and V has to choose fast. V can hand over the money they want, scare them off, or let things turn into a fight.

The Owner

If the robbers leave without bloodshed, the owner is delighted and says the drinks are on the house. If V kills them, he is horrified, and orders V out of his diner for taking lives just to save a few eddies.

Ezekiel Saw the Wheel Map Location and Walkthrough

Ezekiel Saw the Wheel map location:

  1. Finish Playing for Time.
  2. Go to the BuryGer diner in Arroyo and order something from the owner.
  3. Sit on the stool by the bar.
  4. When the gangers barge in, answer quickly in the timed conversation.
  5. Pay them off, scare them away with Body, or warn them as a Streetkid that they are on foreign turf.
  6. Otherwise, fight them, ideally with non lethal weapons.
  7. Talk to the diner owner.

Choices

The Gangers

Paying, intimidating them with enough Body, or warning them off as a Streetkid all end the robbery peacefully. Provoking them, or telling them to leave the diner alone, starts a fight. If V does not answer in time, the fight starts too.

Beating the gangers without killing them pleases the owner just as much as a peaceful end, and he still puts V's orders on the house. Killing them gets V thrown out.

Rewards

A happy owner lets V take anything on the diner's menu for free from then on. The job also pays experience and Street Cred.

Tips

Invest in Body for a quick and easy end. If things turn violent, use blunt weapons or non lethal quickhacks to keep the owner happy. Gangers who were scared off later hang around across the street, and they attack V on sight.

Notes

  • With free food comes a catch: the diner then has no eddies of its own, so V cannot sell anything there.
  • The job is named after the song Ezekiel Saw the Wheel by Woody Guthrie.
