Santo Domingo is the industrial district of south eastern Night City and one of its oldest. Its location spared it the worst of the Fourth Corporate War, though tens of thousands of people who lost their homes elsewhere built makeshift camps and settlements here. No trace of them remains today. Santo Domingo has become an industrial hub, crowded with factories, power plants and businesses of every size. The corporations fight constantly for influence over it: land changes hands, new businesses open and old ones fall, and corporations knock down old factories here only to build new ones. Their construction sites are guarded by combat troops who protect corporate property and secrets, and who often act as the law when a company shuts down and fires all its staff, which raises the risk of riots, above all around Rancho Coronado. The workers live in crowded megabuildings and in the suburb of Rancho Coronado, a town of identical homes built for the factory staff. Arroyo is the industrial heart, where an old power plant and a junkyard stand beside new high tech plants. The gang that rules these streets is 6th Street. The Arasaka Industrial Park, the Cytech factory and the Dewdrop Inn motel all stand within its borders.

Gangs
A group of former soldiers took matters into their own hands here, and the district became home to 6th Street. The Valentinos and the Animals also have a presence.
6th Street was formed after a war between the corporations left many career soldiers without work or hope. The most enterprising of them banded together. Today the gang counts veterans, former police officers, ex-corporate guards and civilians with a crash course in combat among its members, all of them people who want to bring order to the city in their own way.
For 6th Street the end justifies the means, and the means are usually robbery, extortion, arms dealing and car theft. Arroyo is its main ground, but its garages and bases can be found in other parts of the city as well.
The Animals often work as hired muscle, guarding clubs and bars, and the Valentinos are present too.
