Story
A Great Curse
Wakako warns V in the journal that a great treasure can turn out to be a great curse. One of the fences in her territory, Leah Gladen, came into possession of very valuable equipment: a lockbreak device that can jailbreak corporate cyberware, which some call a CorpCracker. It opens doors for suits who want out without losing the use of their company chrome, or who want to make an extra eddie selling it second hand.
Leah was not born yesterday, and she knew what it was worth. She and Wakako went back and forth in long negotiations, and were close to a deal when all contact was lost. V is to find out what happened to her, but above all, to bring back the device. Wakako does not want to hear from V until V has it.
The Trail
Leah's flat is in a building on the corner of Holly and Floyd Streets. A hidden room inside holds the clues that lead on to Wired Head, a braindance club, where Leah's equipment is kept.
