Biography

---

Jake worked as a mechanic for 6th Street for just two weeks before the gang chased him off. He was a wizard with vehicle software and in demand for his tuning work. When he had to leave the city, he took his Thorton Colby truck with him, planning to sell it in Sacramento after one last drive.

Once V gets the truck back, Jake sends a message about a day later with a gift: a Quadra Turbo-R V-Tech.

Padre's brief does not flatter him: every talented techie seems to have a terrible character, and Jake is a genius among techies and a jerk among jerks. Padre spent fifteen minutes with him with a gun barrel to his forehead before they found a way to get along. Jake had worked on a custom car for 6th Street, which he called his life's work, and wrote its software himself. Then he angered the wrong people in the gang and had to flee.

The garage's own description says the same in kinder words: Jake is one of the best mechanics in town, and his talent caught the eye of 6th Street, who gave him more and more work. He grew more and more sure of himself, and in Night City, that can only end badly.
