Location La Catrina

Jeopardy is a Search and Recover gig from Padre in Vista del Rey, Heywood. Jim Greyer smuggled unstable shards by slotting them into his own head. On his last run, the daemon on one broke out of its cage and fried his brain. His body, with the client's shard still inside, now lies in the La Catrina funeral home, a crematorium the Valentinos use to get rid of their dead.

Story

Disturbing the Dead

Padre asks V in the journal to commit a small sin against God and His people: disturbing the dead from their eternal rest. The dead man is Jim Greyer. He smuggled unstable shards by slotting them inside his head. On his last trip, things went wrong. The daemon got out of its cage and cooked his brain. Greyer ended up at La Catrina, along with Padre's client's shard.

V is to find Greyer's body and pull the shard before it is burned to ashes. Padre warns that the crematorium is close to the Valentinos, who use it to dispose of their bodies. One wrong move, and V could end up there too.

La Catrina

The front of the funeral home is a place of worship, open to visitors. Beyond a door guarded by a Valentino, a lift leads down to the morgue, where a doctor and a guard work on two bodies.
