Joanne Koch is a genetic engineer and regional director of technology and development at Biotechnica. Calling Biotechnica's scientists unscrupulous is an understatement, and few are as unscrupulous as Koch, even within the company. Inside and outside the lab she has no qualms about her work, whether that means using ordinary people as test subjects or ordering the deaths of colleagues who threaten her.
Biography
The Scientist
Koch had a colleague, Emilia Morton, fired by planting false evidence against her. When Morton confronted her and threatened to go to the press, Koch told Biotechnica security that Morton was a threat and had her killed.
Project Nightingale
With the help of two colleagues, Koch used members of the Red Ocher nomad clan as test subjects for a project called Nightingale. Many of them died horrible deaths. She offered the survivors money for their forgiveness, but the clan wanted blood. They turned to the fixer Dino Dinovic, who passes the contract to V.
Personality
Koch is cold, arrogant and certain that science excuses everything. She sees people as data. When confronted, she defends her actions by pointing to the medical breakthroughs they made possible.
Relationships
Biotechnica is her employer. The Red Ocher are the clan she experimented on. Dino Dinovic arranges the contract against her.
Jobs
Joanne is the target of Guinea Pigs, a gig from Dino Dinovic.
