Meredith Stout is a senior operations manager at Militech. After a leak leads Maelstrom to hijack a Militech convoy, she is ordered to find the traitor and recover the stolen goods, among them the Flathead bot V needs for the Konpeki heist. She is sharp, ruthless and ambitious, and her fate depends on how V handles the deal at the All Foods plant.
Biography
The Leak
When a Militech convoy falls into Maelstrom's hands, the company suspects inside help and sends Meredith to find the leak. Her evidence points to Anthony Gilchrist, a Militech employee, and her team catches and questions him. She still lacks the final proof.
The Deal
V calls Meredith to discuss what V knows about the stolen convoy. She suspects V of working with Gilchrist, grabs V by surprise and runs a quick lie detector test. When V comes out clean, she offers a deal: V can pay Maelstrom for the Flathead with a Militech credit chip that hides a virus. If the virus goes off, it will wreck the gang's systems and give her the evidence she needs.
Personality
Meredith is cold, calculating and confident. She values results and loyalty, and she can be blunt to the point of rudeness. Behind the corporate manner she is not above a personal arrangement with someone she finds useful.
Relationships
Anthony Gilchrist is the traitor she hunts. Royce and Maelstrom hold the stolen goods. Militech is her employer.
Jobs
Meredith appears in The Pickup and Venus in Furs.

Endings
If V refuses her deal or the plan fails, Gilchrist takes over the investigation, gets rid of her team and has her drowned in the bay, and her body can later be found off a pier in northern Watson. If her virus works, she gets her proof, has Gilchrist killed and arrives at the All Foods plant to thank V and Jackie. She later appears on the news as Militech's government relations executive. Afterwards she can invite V to the No-Tell Motel for a private meeting.
Notes
The choices in The Pickup decide whether Meredith survives and whether Venus in Furs opens.
