Inside North Oak Sign
Stairs on the back of the sign lead up to the scaffolding that holds the letters, with a wide view over the city below. At the foot of the sign is a small pond, and down the hill a roundabout with a phoenix statue in its middle.
The sign stands a short walk from the villas of North Oak, among them the home of the rock star Kerry Eurodyne.
Jobs
In Holdin' On, Johnny Silverhand waits by the pond at the foot of the sign. He has heard that Kerry is in a bad state and wants to see his old bandmate through V's eyes, so he asks V to visit Kerry's villa nearby.
The Zen Master sits beneath the phoenix statue in the roundabout below the sign in Poem Of The Atoms, the meditation of fire. One of Delamain's runaway cabs also waits at the same roundabout in Epistrophy: North Oak.
