Seaside Cafe is a cyberpsycho sighting for Regina Jones in Wellsprings, Heywood. The cafe is famous as the set of the show "Saigon Sisters", and today it hosts a wedding, until a woman roars in on a motorboat and kills everyone. The cyberpsycho is Dao Hyunh, one of the show's stars, put in a coma by her own sister and given the worst combat implants the city's back alleys could offer.
Story
Hate and Rage
The journal warns that whoever killed these people carried a lot of hate and a lot of rage, and those feelings do not fade quickly.
Regina sets the scene. The cafe has a beautiful ocean view and is usually crowded. It gained cult fame after "Saigon Sisters" was filmed there, and it is Dao Hyunh's favourite place to eat. Dao was said to be lying in a coma after an allergic reaction. Today the cafe was booked for a fancy reception. A few guests had arrived, and the newlyweds were having their pictures taken when it all began.
The Season Finale
A script on the beach reveals the plan: the "Saigon Sisters" season finale. Kenny and Linh pose for wedding pictures by the cafe. Then a motorboat roars in, carrying a horrifying double of Linh, chromed out, her face twisted with pain and rage. It is her sister, Dao, who accuses Linh of spiking her wine to put her in a coma and filling her with the worst combat implants while she was out. She lunges at her sister, and they all tumble into the waves.
My Dear Sister
On the bride, in her wedding dress, V finds Linh's message to Dao. It is cruel. Linh calls it revenge for the day Dao humiliated her at her own wedding with a prank. She chose the ugliest implants from the nastiest ripperdocs of Jig-Jig Street for Dao's body, and she is marrying Dao's fiancé, Kenny, who she doubts will notice the difference. Dao is not invited. A second message, from the showrunner, Celine, promises Linh that her sister will never ruin her big day, and that Dao will only wake up once the couple is sipping cocktails on the beach.
They Wanted a Show
Regina sums it up. The showrunner made sure Dao got faulty implants while Linh stole her fiancé. Dao took it personally. She crashed the set and killed everyone: her sister, the husband and the showrunner. They wanted a show, and they got one.
