Serial Suicide is a Thievery gig from Dino Dinovic in Corpo Plaza, City Center. A wave of suicides is sweeping through the city's politicians, corpos, journalists and police officers. The latest is a journalist named Barnes, who "fell" onto the tracks at Memorial Park station while meeting an informant. All the camera footage was wiped, the witnesses will not talk, and Militech has taken a keen interest. Her parents want the truth.

Story

Something Rotten

Dino says in the journal that something is rotten in the City of Dreams. A series of suicides, a rash of self destruction, mostly among politicians, corpos, journalists and police officers.

The latest victim was Barnes, a journalist who "fell" onto the tracks at Memorial Park station. Her death was ruled a suicide, but her parents say she went to the station to meet an informant and would never have taken her own life. Dino admits all parents say that. Still, nobody really knows what happened, because every scrap of camera footage was wiped. Her parents found witnesses, but they would not talk, and Militech took a sharp interest in the whole affair.

V is to go to the station, breach the servers and download anything to do with the cameras, so Dino's programmers can try to recover the deleted footage. Dino adds a note: at the time, Barnes was working on a story about Brad Noorwood, a Militech supporter on the Night City Council. That story, it seems, will never be published. He also sends a Militech authorisation to get V into the station.

The Security Office

Militech runs a security office below the station. Three of its people stand outside, busy repairing a machine, and more wait inside. The server sits in the middle of the office.

Go to Memorial Park station in Corpo Plaza and take the stairs down to the lower level.
Sneak into the station, past or through the three Militech staff by the machine outside the office.
Enter the office through the front door, or through the door on the left to surprise those inside.
Reach the main server room and use the computer in the centre.
Steal the camera footage.
Leave the station.
