| Affects | Only affects Blunt Weapons |
Wrecking Ball makes blunt weapons cheaper to swing and then lets V run people down. The first level cuts the stamina cost of blunt attacks, and the second turns a sprint with the weapon raised into a charge. It is the pick the whole blunt weapon branch of the Body tree is bought through. Hammer and club builds start here.
Effect
Stamina is the real limit on a blunt weapon. The swings are slow and expensive, and running the bar dry in the middle of a crowd is how these builds die, so a cut to that cost is felt on every exchange.
The second level adds a move rather than a number. Sprinting while blocking becomes a barge that damages whatever it hits and can knock it down, which gives a melee build a way to open a fight instead of walking into one.
| Level | Effect |
|---|---|
| 1 | -15% Stamina cost for attacks with Blunt Weapons. |
| 2 | Allows you to barrel into enemies while sprinting and blocking with Blunt Weapons, causing damage and a chance to knock them down. |
How to Unlock Wrecking Ball
It sits behind the Pro gate of the Body tree, so a solid run of points in Body comes first. Nothing has to be bought ahead of it.
Perk Tree
Buying Wrecking Ball opens the perks below.
| Name | Image | Tier | Effect |
|---|---|---|---|
| Quake | Phenom (15) | -15% Stamina cost for attacks with Blunt Weapons. |
Character Builds
The build is the blunt weapon Body build, and this is where it starts. A hammer, a club or a baseball bat is the weapon, and Gorilla Arms work as well since the Solo skill rewards them directly.
Buy both levels as soon as the Pro gate opens, then take Quake above it with the next points. The blocking perks around it can wait, because the stamina cut and the charge are what make the weapon usable at all. The healing branch below should already be in place.
Notes
Quake is bought from it, and Quake is where the branch turns into a ground slam with its own cooldown.
Fly Swatter and Kinetic Absorption both read blocking, which is also what the charge needs, so the branch holds together.
