Gorilla Arms turn V's fists into heavy weapons. Every punch deals Physical damage and can make the target bleed. The arms count as Blunt Weapons, so the whole Body tree of blunt perks works with them. They also give a bonus to Body Attribute checks. They are the natural pick for a brawler who wants to fight with bare hands. Gorilla Arms are an early to mid game implant that ripperdocs sell from level 10, and they stay useful to the end through tier upgrades.
Effect
Gorilla Arms greatly upgrade V's punches, and V fights with them like a melee weapon. Every hit deals Physical damage and has a chance to cause Bleeding. The Bleeding chance rises with the tier.
The arms also add a bonus to Body Attribute checks. The bonus starts at +1 and climbs to +6 at Tier 5.
Gorilla Arms are attuned to Body. Each point of Body adds 0.5% damage with the arms. The Electrifying, Thermal and Toxic variants change the damage type and the attribute. All four share the same attack speed and Stamina cost.
Gorilla Arms count as Blunt Weapons for perks. That makes them part of the blunt perk line in the Body tree.
How to Get Gorilla Arms Guide

Upgrades
Ripperdocs sell Gorilla Arms at Tier 2 from level 10, Tier 3 from level 20, Tier 4 from level 30 and Tier 5 from level 40. An installed pair can be raised a tier at a ripperdoc with the matching item components. Each tier raises the damage, the Bleeding chance and the Body check bonus. Each implant costs Cyberware Capacity. V gains capacity with each level and from Cyberware Capacity Shards. The Edgerunner perk lets V go over the limit by up to 50 points, at the cost of some max Health.
The table shows what each tier step of Gorilla Arms costs at a ripperdoc.

Character Builds
Gorilla Arms belong in a Body build. Wrecking Ball lowers the Stamina cost of blunt attacks by 15%. It also lets V barrel into enemies while sprinting and blocking. Quake lowers the cost again and adds 20% attack speed with Blunt Weapons. Its last level adds a ground slam that damages and staggers nearby enemies, and it can also be done from midair as a Superhero Landing. Kinetic Absorption gives back Stamina and adds 30% blunt damage after a block. Fly Swatter cuts ranged damage by 40% while V blocks with a blunt weapon. Finisher: Savage Sling unlocks a blunt Finisher that restores 20% Health, or throws the enemy into other enemies.
Phantom Liberty adds Relic perks for arm cyberware. With Jailbreak, attacks with Gorilla Arms build up a charge. A fully charged Strong Attack deals massive damage and releases a shockwave that staggers nearby enemies. Limiter Removal makes that shockwave knock down every enemy in range.
Dense Marrow raises melee damage at a higher Stamina cost. Microrotors raises melee attack speed. Both work with Gorilla Arms.

Lore
The in-game description calls Gorilla Arms classic and reliable replacements for natural limbs, suited for all kinds of hard labor. The official artbook describes how arm cyberware began. The first widespread implants swapped a laborer's arms for replacements driven by pistons and hydraulics, so the worker could lift heavier loads. Modern Gorilla Arms descend from those early models. Synthetic muscles made of shape-memory alloys give them their strength. They fit inside the normal shape of an arm, so a layer of synthetic skin hides them completely. They are wired straight to the nervous system and move as fast as the user thinks.
Night City television sells them too. An infomercial on the N54 channel shows a host punching holes in a concrete pillar with Hausstok-W forearms from Moore Technologies. For an extra fee, the maker adds thermal or stun modules.
Notes
- The Arms slot holds one implant, so Gorilla Arms replace any Mantis Blades, Monowire or Projectile Launch System.
- The Electrifying, Thermal and Toxic Gorilla Arms are the same arms with Electrical, Thermal and Chemical damage.
