The Raptor Claws are one of the best leg armor pieces to obtain early on in Dragon's Dogma 2 before entering the later stages of the game. The leg armor is only usable by the Fighter, Warrior and Mystic Spearhand. They have the appearance of metallic drake scales interlinked into one another.

Armor with a motif that recalls the talons of a bird of prey. Intimidating in its own right, most consider the uncomfortable fit a small price to pay.

How to get Raptor Claws and Map Location

The only way to obtain the Raptor Claws leg armor is to purchase it from Celeste's Smithy located in the Checkpoint Rest Town. The Raptor Claws cost 16,500 Gold (see video guide at 19:11).

Smithing Upgrade Guide

Every piece of armour can be enhanced three times at an armoury or smithy, each time for gold and the materials listed below, and a fourth time with Wyrmfire. Any armoury or smithy works on weapons and armour alike. Each smith works in one style, and you can mix styles from one level to the next.

Vermundian raises every attribute moderately. Armouries and smithies in Vermund offer it, such as Roderick's Smithy and Bjorn's Armory in Vernworth.
Elven raises Magick and Magick Defense greatly, Strength and Defense only a little. Grisha's Armory in Sacred Arbor offers it.
Battahli raises Strength and Defense greatly, Magick and Magick Defense only a little. Armouries in Battahl offer it, such as Awaran's Arms and Bodas's Armory in Bakbattahl.
Dwarven raises Knockdown Power and Knockdown Resistance. Sara at Brokkr's Smithy offers it after Steeled Resolve, Blazing Forge, and Gautstafr after Put a Spring in Thy Step.
Wyrmfire halves the weight and gives a further boost once the first three enhancements are done. The Dragonforged at Bay Wayside Shrine takes payment in Wyrmslife Crystals instead of gold.

The tables below give the cost, materials and result of every level for each style.

Taking Raptor Claws to level 3 costs 6,930 G in all, whichever style you choose. Battahli smithing gives it the most Defense at level 3 (104), while Dwarven gives the most Knockdown Resistance (89). Wyrmfire then costs 5 Wyrmslife Crystals.
