Repeller Bow is a bow for the Archer vocation. It is a strong bow against chimeric foes, because it deals extra damage to them. The bow is wrapped in the hide of a divine creature.

It is the reward for A Trial of Archery, the side quest that follows Gift of the Bow. Saving Glyndwr's sister, Doireann, from an Ogre earns it.

How to Get Repeller Bow

Finish Gift of the Bow, then speak to Glyndwr near Roderick's Smithy in Vernworth to start A Trial of Archery.
Escort Glyndwr to the Sacred Arbor and rescue his sister Doireann from the Ogre in the Ancestral Chamber.
Carry Doireann out and speak with Taliesin to complete the quest and receive the bow.

Repeller Bow Map Location and Quest Guide

A Trial of Archery is a side quest given by Glyndwr in Vernworth. It begins on talking to Glyndwr outside Roderick's Smithy once Gift of the Bow is complete. Saving Doireann is the outcome that earns the Repeller Bow.

Meet Glyndwr at the campsite marked on the map, southwest of Melve.
Escort Glyndwr to his home in the Sacred Arbor and fight the monsters along the road.
Reach the Arborist's Home. Taliesin calls off the trial, because an Ogre has taken Glyndwr's sister, Doireann.
Leave the Sacred Arbor by the way in from Malachite Forest and head east. Follow the white-painted torches and take the wooden bridge down to the lower ground.
Join Glyndwr at the marked spot, then enter the Ancestral Chamber.
Clear the monsters room by room. The white torches lead the way through the chamber.
Turn right at the large doorway to find a corner chest holding the Ring of Percipience, then take the left path to Doireann.
Wait for Glyndwr's arrow to make the Ogre drop Doireann. Grab her, carry her clear of the fight and set her down somewhere safe.
Return and defeat the Ogre. Glyndwr then opens a shortcut out of the chamber.
Carry Doireann out of the Ancestral Chamber.
Speak with Taliesin to complete the quest.
Talk to Taliesin once more to receive the Hunter's Secret. The tome teaches the Archer skill Heavenly Shot to the Arisen and the main pawn.

Rewards: 2,800 XP, 16,000 G, Repeller Bow and Portcrystal.

Smithing Upgrade Guide

Every weapon can be enhanced three times at an armoury or smithy, each time for gold and the materials listed below, and a fourth time with Wyrmfire. Any armoury or smithy works on weapons and armour alike. Each smith works in one style, and you can mix styles from one level to the next.

Vermundian raises every attribute moderately. Armouries and smithies in Vermund offer it, such as Roderick's Smithy and Bjorn's Armory in Vernworth.
Elven raises Magick and Magick Defense greatly, Strength and Defense only a little. Grisha's Armory in Sacred Arbor offers it.
Battahli raises Strength and Defense greatly, Magick and Magick Defense only a little. Armouries in Battahl offer it, such as Awaran's Arms and Bodas's Armory in Bakbattahl.
Dwarven raises Knockdown Power and Knockdown Resistance. Sara at Brokkr's Smithy offers it after Steeled Resolve, Blazing Forge, and Gautstafr after Put a Spring in Thy Step.
Wyrmfire halves the weight and gives a further boost once the first three enhancements are done. The Dragonforged at Bay Wayside Shrine takes payment in Wyrmslife Crystals instead of gold.

The tables below give the cost, materials and result of every level for each style.

Taking Repeller Bow to level 3 costs 10,810 G in all, whichever style you choose. Battahli smithing gives it the most Strength at level 3 (254), while Dwarven gives the most Knockdown Power (332). Wyrmfire then costs 15 Wyrmslife Crystals.
