The Ogre is a huge, brutish monster of tremendous strength with an unsettling taste for women. It lurks in the caves and wilds of Vermund, and one of them holds Doireann captive in the Ancestral Chamber during the side quest A Trial of Archery.
Ogre Lore
The Ogre is described as a hideous creature, feared for its great strength and its fondness for women, whose scent it follows without rest until it can seize them and try to devour them. For all its bulk it is surprisingly quick, and it rushes at its prey with alarming speed.
How to Beat the Ogre
An Ogre may seem slow at first, but it breaks into sudden charges and tries to seize a member of the party in its hands. Women draw its attention above all else, so a female Arisen or pawn is likely to become its target.
Where to Find the Ogre
Ogres lurk on the lower floor of the Forgotten Tunnel, in the central cave on the upper level of the Cavern of the Forsaken, in the caves beyond the Mountain Shrine and deep inside Dead-End Curve. Others roam the country north of Harve Village, near Rivage Cavern. During A Trial of Archery one holds Doireann in the Ancestral Chamber.

Ogre Quests
A Trial of Archery takes Glyndwr home to the Sacred Arbor, where his trial is called off because an Ogre has carried off his sister, Doireann. The search leads to the Ancestral Chamber, and there an arrow from Glyndwr makes the Ogre flinch and drop her. The Arisen then carries Doireann to safety, felling the Ogre first or leaving it behind.
Monster Culling sends the Arisen from Trevo Mine on to Harve Village, and an Ogre may be met on the way.
