Hunter's Secret is the Maister tome for the Archer vocation. Reading it teaches Heavenly Shot, an almighty arrow fuelled by the user's Stamina, to the Arisen and the main pawn.
Taliesin gives it at the Sacred Arbor after Glyndwr's questline, which starts with Gift of the Bow and ends with A Trial of Archery.
A tome detailing an exceptional ability for archers. Use it to learn Heavenly Shot. The Arisen's main pawn will also receive the same effect.
Finish A Trial of Archery by rescuing Doireann from the Ogre.
Speak to Taliesin at the Sacred Arbor to receive the tome.
Once the questline that begins with the side quest Gift of the Bow is complete, the Archer Maister at the Sacred Arbor hands it over when spoken to.
Hunter's Secret Map Location and Quest Guide
Gift of the Bow is a side quest given by Glyndwr in Vernworth. It begins on handing Glyndwr a bow in the Merchant Quarter. Gift of the Bow opens A Trial of Archery.
Find Glyndwr near Roderick's Smithy in the Merchant Quarter and give him a bow. Accept his invitation to train with him.
Switch to Archer, Magick Archer or Warfarer before leaving, as the training needs a bow shot by the Arisen.
Travel northwest of Vernworth to the ruins north of Trevo Mine. Large monsters roam the area, including Cyclops.
Ride the oxcart from Vernworth towards Checkpoint Rest Town for a shortcut. An attack on the road leaves the Arisen close to the ruins.
Shoot one of the wooden targets hanging from the stone arches. Glyndwr follows suit and the quest completes.
Return to Glyndwr near Roderick's Smithy and speak to him to start A Trial of Archery.
A Trial of Archery is a side quest given by Glyndwr in Vernworth. It begins on talking to Glyndwr outside Roderick's Smithy once Gift of the Bow is complete. Taliesin hands over the Hunter's Secret after the quest.
Meet Glyndwr at the campsite marked on the map, southwest of Melve.
Escort Glyndwr to his home in the Sacred Arbor and fight the monsters along the road.
Reach the Arborist's Home. Taliesin calls off the trial, because an Ogre has taken Glyndwr's sister, Doireann.
Leave the Sacred Arbor by the way in from Malachite Forest and head east. Follow the white-painted torches and take the wooden bridge down to the lower ground.
Join Glyndwr at the marked spot, then enter the Ancestral Chamber.
Clear the monsters room by room. The white torches lead the way through the chamber.
Turn right at the large doorway to find a corner chest holding the Ring of Percipience, then take the left path to Doireann.
Wait for Glyndwr's arrow to make the Ogre drop Doireann. Grab her, carry her clear of the fight and set her down somewhere safe.
Return and defeat the Ogre. Glyndwr then opens a shortcut out of the chamber.
Carry Doireann out of the Ancestral Chamber.
Speak with Taliesin to complete the quest.
Talk to Taliesin once more to receive the Hunter's Secret. The tome teaches the Archer skill Heavenly Shot to the Arisen and the main pawn.
