Taliesin is an elf of the Sacred Arbor and the father of Glyndwr and Doireann. He is the Archer Maister, and the Arisen meets him when Glyndwr's Trial of Archery is cut short by an ogre.
Story
On the day of Glyndwr's Trial of Archery, Taliesin calls off the trial because an ogre has carried Doireann away to the Ancestral Chamber. Glyndwr sets out after his sister with the Arisen. Once Doireann is safe, Taliesin rewards the Arisen for saving his daughter. In the Unmoored World, the elves must leave the Sacred Arbor for the Seafloor Shrine. Taliesin refuses to abandon their ancestral home unless the Arborheart can take root in the new place. He gives the Arisen an Arborheart Cutting, and once it grows in the shrine he agrees to lead his people there.
Location
Taliesin lives in the Sacred Arbor. During A Trial of Archery he is found by the Ancestral Chamber, east of the village. Speaking with him needs a pawn who understands the elven tongue.
Quests
In A Trial of Archery, given by Glyndwr, Taliesin calls off the trial and later thanks the Arisen for rescuing Doireann with the Repeller Bow and a Portcrystal. In Wandering Roots, given by Glyndwr during Halls of the First Dawn, the Arisen persuades Taliesin to evacuate the Sacred Arbor. Planting the Arborheart Cutting at the Seafloor Shrine wins him over. Without it, he can still be talked round by speaking with him over several days.
Relationships
Taliesin is the father of Glyndwr and Doireann. Once A Trial of Archery is complete and his affinity is high enough, Taliesin gives the Arisen Hunter's Secret, which teaches the Archer skill Heavenly Shot.
Gifts
Taliesin likes Interesting items and Expensive items. Interesting items include weapons, armour and monster parts.
Notes
- Taliesin can give a Miracle Roborant, and a Tiger Eye can be stolen from him.
