The Darkness is an incantation in Elden Ring, from the Two Fingers school.
Darkness is an incantation of the Two Fingers' servants, the Roundtable assassins who were once Tarnished strayed from guidance and pursued their duty in the darkness without grace. It creates a brief cloud of darkness around the caster that blinds non-boss enemies who touch it for several seconds and resets their aggression, and it can be cast while moving or crouching. That window allows repositioning out of sight, setting up backstabs against tough knights, or escaping groups, and blinded enemies count as out of combat, which raises attack power against them and even allows warping away. Bosses and players are unaffected, though in PvP the cloud still masks the caster's actions. It suits stealth builds and Confessors who like to fight from the shadows.
Effect
Creates a veil of darkness around the caster that blinds non-boss enemies touching it for about 7 seconds and makes them lose track of the caster. Each cast costs 24 FP and 24 stamina and takes up one memory slot.
