The Miséricorde is a Dagger in Elden Ring. 140 critical, the highest of any weapon in the game.

When to Use It

---

Early game. It is found around Stormveil Castle, in the opening stretch of a run, so it is one of the first real upgrades you can carry.

Why Players Pick It

---

• It tends to outperform the Rapier when used purely for critical hits.
• 7 Str / 12 Dex, behind a Stonesword Key fog wall in Stormveil Castle.

Upgrades

• Upgrades with ordinary Smithing Stones to +25.
• Can be buffed with a grease or a spell, which a Somber weapon cannot.

Build

---

It scales Str E, Dex D, so Dex is where the levels go.

• Requires Str 7, Dex 12.
• Takes any Ash of War and any affinity, so its scaling can be re-cut towards whichever stat you are levelling.

Critical Damage

---

Critical 140. A backstab, or a riposte after a guard break, is multiplied by this, where 100 is the baseline most weapons carry.

• The highest critical in the game.
• It pays for getting behind an enemy or breaking their stance rather than trading hits in the open.

Notes

• Dagger favored by military physicians in white. The pointed blade is hard and sharp, making critical hits especially potent.
• Medicine is mercy, and mercy upon the battlefield is ruthless. Beware the killers clothed as men of compassion.

Where to Find

---

• Found behind a fog wall that requires 1 Stonesword Key to open, near the roaming Grafted Scion inside Stormveil Castle and the elevator shortcut back up to the Rampart Tower Site of Grace.
