Gelmir's Fury is a Magma sorcery in Elden Ring. It becomes available partway through a run, in Volcano Manor.
Gelmir's Fury is a magma sorcery developed from the magma of Mt. Gelmir, held to represent the fury of the volcano, though the arrogance of trying to harness it belongs to men and serpents alone. The caster drives the staff into the ground and magma surges outward over a wide area, leaving brief lava pools, and holding the cast extends the surge. It deals fire damage, which gives intelligence casters with a little Faith one of the few sorcery options outside magic. Fire also resets an enemy's frostbite buildup, so it can be woven into frost builds to proc frostbite more often. The cast has no hyper armor, so using Endure beforehand helps it land against aggressive enemies.
Effect
Strikes the ground to make magma surge out over a wide area, dealing fire damage; holding the cast extends the surge while draining FP. Each cast costs 16 FP and 38 stamina and takes up one memory slot. It can be charged for more power.
How to Get Gelmir's Fury Guide
Gelmir's Fury is a reward from Recusant Bernahl at Volcano Manor for helping him defeat Vargram the Raging Wolf and Errant Sorcerer Wilhelm in Leyndell, Royal Capital.
- Reach Volcano Manor on Mt. Gelmir, talk to Tanith and agree to join to receive the Drawing-Room Key.
- Complete the first assassination request against Old Knight Istvan.
- Complete the second assassination request against Rileigh the Idle.
- Talk to Recusant Bernahl at Volcano Manor to receive the Letter to Bernahl.
- Use the invasion sign in the Fortified Manor in Leyndell, Royal Capital and defeat Vargram the Raging Wolf and Errant Sorcerer Wilhelm alongside Bernahl.
- Return to Bernahl at Volcano Manor to receive Gelmir's Fury.

Build
Casting it takes 28 Intelligence, 15 Faith and a Glintstone Staff. It fits magma builds, where it is often cast alongside Magma Shot, Roiling Magma and Rykard's Rancor.
Notes
- It is one of the few sorceries that deal fire damage.
- Fire damage resets frostbite buildup, so it can help trigger frostbite again quickly.
