Tanith is a character in Elden Ring.

Tanith is the proprietress of the Volcano Manor and the leader of its recusants. She invites the Tarnished to join a war against the Erdtree and hands out assassination contracts. Each completed contract earns a reward, and finishing them leads to an audience with Rykard. Her story ends at the side of her fallen lord.

Lore

Tanith wears the mask and robe of a consort, and a Crucible Knight stands guard beside her.

She was once a dancer until Praetor Rykard made her his consort. When he gave himself to the great serpent and swore himself to blasphemy, she alone stayed at his side.

Tanith raised Rya as her daughter and led the recusants of the manor against the Erdtree. After Rykard fell, she began to feast on his body, hoping to become his serpent herself.

Quest

The steps below follow Tanith's questline from start to finish.

Speak to Tanith in the Volcano Manor and agree to join to receive the Drawing-Room Key.
Take the first Letter from Volcano Manor in the drawing room and invade Old Knight Istvan in Stormhill, then report back for Magma Shot.
Take the next letter and invade Rileigh the Idle on the Altus Plateau, then report back for the Serpentbone Blade.
Take the Red Letter and invade Juno Hoslow, Knight of Blood in the Mountaintops of the Giants, then report back for the Taker's Cameo.
Accept her offer to meet the lord of the manor and defeat Rykard, Lord of Blasphemy.
Find her feeding on Rykard's corpse in his audience chamber.
