The Roiling Magma is a Magma sorcery in Elden Ring. It is found on Mt. Gelmir, around the middle of a run.
Roiling Magma is a magma sorcery developed from the magma of Mt. Gelmir, one of the ancient hexes that Rykard, son of Queen Rennala, revived as new sorcery. It fires a lump of magma that sticks to walls, floors and ceilings and explodes after a short delay, leaving pools of lava, while a direct hit on an enemy deals single-target fire damage instead. Charging raises the damage, widens the blast, lengthens the delay and adds more lava. Unaware enemies are often drawn toward the glowing magma, so it works well as a trap placed in their path. It suits sorcerers with a little Faith who want a fire option and like setting up ambushes.
Effect
Fires a lump of magma that sticks to surfaces and explodes after a short delay, leaving pools of lava; hitting an enemy directly deals single target fire damage instead of the explosion. Charging increases damage, blast size and the delay. Each cast costs 28 FP and 27 stamina and takes up one memory slot.
