Rotten Breath is one of the incantations of Dragon Communion, and its description calls those extraordinary individuals who perpetuate the practice the dragon-hearted. It transforms the caster into a dragon that breathes a wide wave of scarlet rot mist after a long wind up, dealing physical damage and building scarlet rot, and holding the cast lets it breathe again while turning. Scarlet rot then eats away a portion of the target's maximum HP over a long duration, which makes it strong against high-health enemies that are not immune. The breath can ricochet off walls and can be used on horseback, though not while jumping, and Ekzykes's Decay offers a stronger version. It suits Dragon Communion and status builds that want rot damage over time.

The Rotten Breath turns the caster into a dragon that spews scarlet rot over a wide area, and holding the cast extends the breath. The scarlet rot keeps eating at a target long after the breath fades, and the Dragon Communion Seal adds 15% to the spell.
