The Dragon Communion Seal is a Sacred Seal in Elden Ring.
When to Use It
Early game. It is found around Fringefolk Hero's Grave, in the opening stretch of a run, so it is one of the first real upgrades you can carry.
Why Players Pick It
The Arcane route, and the highest ceiling in 's max table at 388. 's realistic figures at +10: 45/45 Arc/Fai gives 336, 60/30 gives 333, 80/10 gives 310, an even split wins, and pure Arcane is about 7-8% behind. Its 15% Dragon Communion boost stacks with itself to 32.25% across two hands, and uniquely, Arcane also scales the Poison, Madness and non-bloodflame Blood Loss buildup of incantations cast through it, capped at 45% at +10. Weight 0, requirement only 10 Fai / 10 Arc, and it is obtainable in Fringefolk Hero's Grave at the very start.
Upgrades
Ordinary Smithing Stones carry it all the way to +25, and because it is not a Somber weapon it will also hold a grease or a weapon buff, which is a damage source the unique blades simply do not have.
Build
Its scaling runs Fai at D and Arc at C, so Arc is the stat worth levelling, and you need Fai 10 and Arc 10 before you can lift it. Any Ash of War and any affinity will sit on it, so its scaling can be re-cut towards whichever stat you are already levelling. It also enhances Dragon Communion incantations by 15% on its own, with no infusion needed.
Notes
Formless drakeblood seal with a dragon communion crest. Enhances Dragon Communion incantations. The sacrificial devouring of the heart gives power. Indeed, Dragon Communion is too primal in nature for the term "incantation" to be appropriate. This seal scales incantations with one's arcane attribute.
How to Get Dragon Communion Seal Guide
- Dropped by a spectral Banished Knight located in the Fringefolk Hero's Grave in Limgrave.
- To find it, start at the Stranded Graveyard Site of Grace and head down the first two ramps in the Grave, then head right in the split to go up another two ramps.
- The Knight is inside a small room at the end of the ramp and is quite tough for the early game.
- The Chariot in the dungeon can be used to help kill it, though that comes at considerable risk to the player as well.
