Ekzykes's Decay is a Dragon Communion incantation in Elden Ring. It becomes available partway through a run, in Caelid.
Ekzykes's Decay is a superior Dragon Communion incantation channeling Ekzykes, the Dragon Communion Revenger, who never forgot his hatred even as he succumbed to scarlet rot. The caster transforms into a dragon that hovers slightly and breathes scarlet rot mist from above, dealing physical damage and scarlet rot buildup, and holding the cast lets it breathe again while turning, even when started mid-jump. Scarlet rot from this breath eats away a portion of the target's maximum HP over a long duration, which makes it strong against high-health enemies that are not immune. It deals more damage than Rotten Breath with slightly longer range but a narrower spread, at the cost of a long wind up and a large FP bill for a full cast. It suits Dragon Communion and status builds that want powerful damage over time.
Effect
Transforms the caster into a dragon that hovers and breathes scarlet rot mist from above; charging extends the breath, and it can be cast while jumping. Each cast costs 48 FP and 60 stamina and takes up one memory slot.
