The Eleonora's Poleblade is a Twinblade in Elden Ring.

When to Use It

Mid game. It is found around Second Church of Marika, which opens up past Stormveil Castle, so it arrives once a build has taken shape.

Why Players Pick It

The only Arcane-scaling twinblade and the only one with innate bleed at 55. Lightest in the class at 6.0, with 72 physical + 72 fire at +0 going to 176 / 176 at max. Cost: 84 poise damage, the class floor, and no infusion, it is Somber-upgraded.

Upgrades

It takes Somber Smithing Stones rather than the common kind, one per level up to +10, and it keeps its own skill for good: no Ash of War will replace it and no affinity will re-cut its scaling.

Skill

Bloodblade Dance costs 11 / 6 FP. Leap at foe to perform a flurry of tornado-like attacks. Follow up with an additional input to perform an attack that ends in an evasive maneuver. It belongs to this weapon alone: no Ash of War will move it onto anything else, and nothing will replace it here.

Build

Its scaling runs Str at E, Dex at D and Arc at D, so Dex and Arc are the stats worth levelling, and you need Str 12, Dex 21 and Arc 19 before you can lift it. Because the skill is its own, the build has to come to the weapon rather than the other way round. It also causes blood loss buildup (55) on its own, with no infusion needed.

Twinned naginata forged in the Land of Reeds. Chosen weapon of Eleonora, Violet Bloody Finger. Her mastery of the sword was such that her onslaught was likened to a whirlwind, but now her legacy is stained by accursed blood.
