Sage Gowry is a character in Elden Ring.
Sage Gowry is an elderly sage who lives in a shack on the edge of Sellia in Caelid. He asks the Tarnished to find an Unalloyed Gold Needle to slow the Scarlet Rot eating away at Millicent. He shares the secret of Sellia in return and later sells sorceries and a rot incantation. His kindly manner hides a deep devotion to Malenia and the rot.
Lore
Gowry is an old sage who calls himself a great sage of days gone by.
He watches over Millicent and her sisters and hopes each will bloom into a flower of Scarlet Rot for Malenia.
When struck down, his body turns into a Kindred of Rot, and he returns in his own shape once the area is reloaded.
