The Pest Threads is an incantation in Elden Ring, from the Servants of Rot school. It is picked up mid-game, in Caelid.
Pest Threads is an incantation of the servants of rot, the pale pests who crawl through lands afflicted by scarlet rot as the abandoned children of the goddess. It launches clusters of sticky threads forward that pierce through enemies with strong tracking, hitting small foes a handful of times and large ones dozens of times. Because the threads damage every part of a large boss they pass through, it can deal extremely high damage to huge enemies such as dragons, the Fire Giant and Placidusax, even without much optimization. It does not trigger multi-hit boosts such as the Winged Sword Insignia or Millicent's Prosthesis. It suits faith builds hunting large bosses and dragons.
Effect
Launches clusters of sticky threads forward that pierce through enemies and can loop back to strike large foes again. Each cast costs 19 FP and 29 stamina and takes up one memory slot.
How to Get Pest Threads Guide
Pest Threads joins Sage Gowry's stock for 7,500 runes once Millicent has been given the Valkyrie's Prosthesis.
- Talk to Sage Gowry at Gowry's Shack in Caelid and accept his request.
- Defeat Commander O'Neil in the Swamp of Aeonia to obtain the Unalloyed Gold Needle.
- Give the needle to Gowry, then reload the area and talk to him again to receive the repaired needle.
- Give the repaired Unalloyed Gold Needle to Millicent at the Church of the Plague.
- Exhaust Millicent's dialogue at the church, then again at Gowry's Shack.
- Find Millicent on a hill north of the Erdtree-Gazing Hill Site of Grace in the Altus Plateau.
- Open the chest guarded by a Cleanrot Knight in the northwest corner of the Shaded Castle to get the Valkyrie's Prosthesis.
- Give the prosthesis to Millicent.
- Return to Gowry and buy Pest Threads for 7,500 runes.
