Mohg, Lord of Blood is a legendary boss in Elden Ring.
Mohg, Lord of Blood is the demigod who stole Miquella and rules a hidden palace of blood beneath the Lands Between. He waits in the Mohgwyn Dynasty Mausoleum, beside Miquella's cocoon. He fights with a great trident and bloodflame, and his Nihil ritual can kill outright at the start of the second phase. His defeat yields Mohg's Great Rune.
Lore
Mohg is a towering, horned Omen in dark robes. He wields a great three-pronged trident. His cursed blood bursts into flame when spilled.
Mohg was born to the golden lineage as a son of Godfrey and Queen Marika, and twin of Morgott. The twins were Omens and were shackled below the capital. Unlike his brother, Mohg embraced his cursed blood. Deep underground he met the Formless Mother, who set his blood alight.
After the Shattering, Mohg escaped and claimed a Great Rune. He built a dynasty of blood at Mohgwyn Palace and gathered Sanguine Nobles and Bloody Fingers to his cause. He stole Miquella in his cocoon, hoping to rule at his side as consort of a new god.

Phases
- Phase 1: Mohg fights with his trident and bloodflame, and counts down Tres, Duo and Unus, placing blood rings on the player.
- Phase 2: he chants Nihil three times, dealing heavy damage and healing for each ring, then spreads blood wings and adds new bloodflame attacks.
Attacks
- Bloodflame Talons: a quick slash followed by an explosive burst. Rolling away at the moment of the burst avoids it.
- Bloodboon: he splashes bloodflame that sets the ground alight and causes blood loss. Leaving the burning ground avoids it.
- Trident sweeps and thrusts: long reaching attacks with a wide arc. Rolling through the swing avoids them.
- Nihil: at the start of phase two he chants three times, draining health from each blood ring. The Purifying Crystal Tear in the physick blocks it.
- Blood pools: he summons pools of bloodflame defensively, which make melee stance breaks harder.
Tactics
- Find Mohg's Shackle in the Subterranean Shunning-Grounds and use it before the phase two threshold.
- Mix the Purifying Crystal Tear into the Flask of Wondrous Physick and drink it before his countdown ends.
- Equip fire and physical damage protection.
- Burst him down quickly in phase one, since a stagger before Bloodboon Ritual can end the fight early.
- Roll away from the burst of Bloodflame Talons.
- Use the Lord of Blood's Exultation, which triggers often from all the blood loss in the fight.
