Alchemic Wisdom sends the Alchemist's search for knowledge beyond the mountains, to a lighthouse by a lake near Wickmouth. Inside lies half of an alchemical wall hanging. Vultures carried the other half to their nests in a quarry. Joined in a frame, the two halves unlock new recipes, including purple fabric and Mauveine for better mage armour.
Walkthrough
The quest step by step:
- Finish Scientific Instruments For A Laboratory and accept Ignite The Snowy Mountaintops, then speak to the Alchemist.
- Cross the mountains with the help of the Flame and reach the town by the lake.
- Find the lighthouse, part of which stands in the Shroud, and search inside for the first half of the wall hanging.
- Follow the vultures to their nests at the Camellia Lake Marble Quarry.
- Search the marked nests for the second half.
- Return to the base and place both pieces in a frame to unlock the new recipes.

Prerequisites
Two earlier quests open this one. Scientific Instruments For A Laboratory follows the Alchemist's old friend Loraine Crim. Her trail runs from the Obelisk Excavation Camp to a camp at an Ancient dam, where vultures attacked and she dropped her tools. The instruments become the Laboratory, which adds recipes and better healing. Ignite The Snowy Mountaintops is a quest from the Flame. It leads through a cave passage into the Albaneve Summits and up the Ancient Spire there. The Alchemist then looks for new knowledge in a town beyond the mountains.
