Cat Search tames the first pet cat. The Alchemist's old tower in Lone Thistle had a rat plague, and the rats drew cats. One still lives in the tower above the Shroud. Tamed, it moves into the base as Tyger, a striped hunter that brings back its catches.
Walkthrough
The quest step by step:
- Finish Carpentry Assistance and Growing Stronger Together, then speak to the Alchemist.
- Craft Cat Food Bait with the Farmer.
- Travel to Lone Thistle and climb the Alchemist's tower above the Shroud.
- Search the tower for the stray cat and sneak towards it.
- Throw bait near the cat, then pet it while it eats until it trusts the player.
- Pick the cat up and place it in the base.
- Craft a cat bowl and a cat bed to keep it happy.

Prerequisites
Two earlier quests open this one. In Carpentry Assistance, the Alchemist sends the player to an Ancient Vault, where the Carpenter sleeps. In Growing Stronger Together, the Hunter points to the vault of the Farmer, who helps with food and farming. The Farmer matters here, because she makes the cat food bait. The Alchemist then remembers that rats in his old tower in Lone Thistle drew stray cats, and some may still live there.
