Lone Thistle is a village in Revelwood, swallowed by the Shroud and now held by the Fell. It was once the home of Balthazar, the Alchemist. His tall tower still rises above the Shroud at the edge of the village. Two of his quests lead back here: one for his lost Mortar and one for a stray cat. Below the tower lies his hidden laboratory. A cemetery with a large dead tree holds the ice sword Hailscourge.
Where to Find Lone Thistle - Map Location
Lone Thistle lies in the Shroud of Revelwood. The Alchemist's tower is the easiest landmark, since its top floors stand clear of the Shroud. An Elixir Well sits a short way east of the village.

Quests
Both quests come from the Alchemist once he lives in the base. In The Alchemist's Mortar, the Mortar waits in his locked laboratory under the tower. A hidden button in the tower opens the door, and his own notes complain that pressing it hurts. Placed in the base, the Mortar unlocks new Alchemist recipes. In Cat Search, the old rat plague of the tower is the clue. The rats drew cats, and one still lives there. Cat Food Bait from the Farmer tames it, and it moves to the base as the pet cat Tyger.

Enemies
The streets belong to the Fell, the Shroud's own soldiers and beasts. Time inside the Shroud is limited, so long fights in the village eat into it. The tower's upper floors stand above the Shroud, where the Shroud timer refills.

Unique Loot
Hailscourge is a lore weapon, a one-handed sword that deals ice damage. Its own description calls it cold to the touch and heavy on the mind. It lies in a grave covered with rubble in the village cemetery, beside the large dead tree.

Chests
The village hides four silver chests and four wooden ones. Several sit high up, on balconies and rooftops. Three of the wooden chests are locked and need a Lockpick.

Lore Pages
The notes in Lone Thistle tell how the village fell. "Never Enough" is the last page of Balthazar's set A Cry for Help. In it, he admits that people stopped taking his potions and turned to the Elixir instead. His only visitors became rats and other pests. He ends by wondering whether there is a better way to clear the Shroud.
