Howling Peak is the highest point in Embervale and the heart of the Albaneve Summits. The boss Fell Dragon Youngling, a corrupted winged beast, lives inside the mountain. Soldiers of the North saw the peak roar and the beast burst from its smoke, melting their walls with a foul, burning breath. A children's rhyme calls the mountains its cradle and Howling Peak its womb. The North told a legend that the boss Lord Vorgoth split the skull of the mother dragon here. One settler's granddad insisted that Vorgoth never set foot in the mountains at all.
Where to Find Howling Peak - Map Location
Howling Peak rises in the middle of the Summits, ringed by the balefires of the garrisons around it. The way up passes through Everfrore Keep, high on the mountain. A cave passage between the Keep and the peak is home to a Cyclops boss. Flame Shrines stand both north and south of the peak.

Quests
In Slaying The Corrupted Beast, the Flame asks for the beast inside Howling Peak to be slain. Its signal fires, the balefires, must all be lit to wake it, starting at Balefire Garrison "Silkfrost". The last fire burns in Everfrore Keep. Once all are lit, the beast waits at the top of the peak. Its head, the Fell Dragon Youngling Head, upgrades the Flame Altar so that it keeps the cold away when building.

Enemies
The Fell Dragon Youngling is the boss of Howling Peak and is found nowhere else. It breathes Fell fire, rains Fell fire meteors, strafes the platform and knocks foes back with its wings. It takes reduced damage until it is stunned, so Stun Arrows, lightning spells and deflected meteors are the key. When stunned, it falls to the ground and is open to attack. It then summons Fell Draconian Vultures before starting again. Dodging or blinking puts out the fire when a hit sets the player alight.
