The Mining Rift is a stone quarry in the north-west of the Nomad Highlands. In the days of Queen Pikemead, its stone fed the walls of Pikemead's Reach. When the siege drew near, a guard of the capital wrote that even the Rift could not yield enough stone to restore the old walls in time. The quarry workers kept an overdue parcel of wall blocks here, because the capital could take no more cargo. Those blocks still wait on the crane platform, and they unlock the Castle Wall Stone Block. The ruins also hide the cosmetic Lumberer Set.
Where to Find Mining Rift - Map Location
The Mining Rift lies west of the Nomad Highlands Ancient Spire. Myrtle Tombs lies just north, and a Shroud Root grows to the north-west. The Obscura Catacombs are to the south-west. Flame Shrines stand north and east of the Rift.

Quests
Fortification starts by reading "Citywall Blocks", the guard's note about the crumbling walls of Pikemead's Reach. It sends the player to the Mining Rift for new building material. The Castle Wall Stone Blocks lie on the crane platform, where the workers left the parcel. The reward unlocks the blocks for building in the base.
