The Tidecaller Set is a Veilwater Basin magic armor set for staff casters. Its strength is the highest staff damage bonus before Cinder's Cradle, with a large mana pool and fast mana regeneration. The Alchemist crafts it, and pieces also turn up in chests. Every piece also shortens how long the wet status lasts.

Pieces

The headpiece raises the chance and the damage of magical critical hits. The gloves add a large staff damage bonus and extra damage against magical enemies. The tunic adds health and a big block of mana, and the pants add mana and regeneration. The shoes refill mana faster and start refilling sooner.

How to Get Tidecaller Set Guide

The Alchemist makes every piece. Armor recipes unlock on their own each time the Flame is upgraded, one crafting tier at a time. The recipes use Capybara Bristles, Aquamarine, Gold Dust, Blue Fabric and Water Reptile Leather, with a Bursting Fell Heart for the tunic.

Levelling and Upgrades

The Alchemist upgrades mage armor for Runes. Crafted pieces are rare quality, while chests can hold common to legendary ones. The quality sets how many upgrade perks a piece can unlock. Legendary pieces unlock the most and need Legendary Runes for the later steps. The perks here add resistance to blunt, piercing, cutting and Shroud damage, more mana, and extra levels in skills such as Wizard, Quick Charge and Arsonist. In Cinder's Cradle, the Flame Arcanist armor from the same crafter carries the staff role one tier higher. Outgrown pieces salvage back into runes.

Lore

The headpiece is as broad as its wearer's magic, and the description warns it may get stuck in a doorway. The light tunic looks majestic when the arms spread wide.

Notes

Balthazar the Alchemist must be rescued before the Tidecaller Set can be crafted.
The Tidecaller Set shortens the Wet effect, which helps in the watery Veilwater Basin.
