A battle report is the write-up an attack leaves behind, covering the single fight between attacker and defender. It is also what a player passes on to someone who was not there, which is what the share buttons on the report are for.

The report does not appear straight away. An animated scene of the fight plays first. A premium account can skip it immediately; without premium, the skip unlocks after five seconds. That is nothing on one attack, but it is paid again on every attack of the day.

Sharing

A report can travel well beyond the two players in it. The share options sit on the report itself: Twitter, Facebook, WhatsApp, email and a direct link. Inside the game, visibility is narrower. Battle reports show up in another player's profile only for premium accounts, so for everyone else a pasted link is the way to show someone a fight.

Other reports

Two other records carry a similar name. The battlefield keeps its own attack reports in the battle courier, and players use them to open the profiles of the previous day's opponents and attack them again. A guild war has a war report, reached through the guild's current attack or defence wars, which gathers the reports of the whole war between the two guilds and shows the countdown before the fighting starts.
