Bound Sword
Bound Sword is a Novice Conjuration spell that summons a glowing Daedric sword for two minutes. The sword weighs nothing and vanishes as soon as it is sheathed. It gives a mage a ready melee weapon early in the game. Conjuration perks make it much stronger later on.
Spell Tome
Bound Sword is learned by reading Spell Tome: Bound Sword. Calcelmo, Falion, Farengar Secret-Fire, Madena, Nelacar, Phinis Gestor, Sybille Stentor, Wuunferth the Unliving, Wylandriah and Talvas Fathryon sell the tome.
Location
One copy of the tome lies on a long wooden table in the bandit chief's room at Treva's Watch.
Gameplay Tips
- The Mystic Binding perk raises the sword's damage. The Soul Stealer perk makes every hit cast Soul Trap.
- A sword cast with one hand leaves the other hand free for a spell or a second Bound Sword.
- The Quiet Casting perk silences the cast, which helps a character who is sneaking.
Notes
- The sword can be summoned in places where weapons are taken away, such as jail, Cidhna Mine and the Thalmor Embassy.
- Hits with the sword train One-Handed, while casting it near enemies trains Conjuration.
