Hood of Odin is more a keepsake than a helmet. It belongs to the DLC set given to the game's earliest supporters, and you make it at the Workbench from Leather Scraps and coal. It gives 1 armour, or 4 fully upgraded, and all of its materials come from the Meadows.
How to Craft
You craft it at a level 1 Workbench from:
- 10x Leather Scraps: Dropped by Boars and Bats, and dug out of Muddy Scrap Piles.
- 4x Coal: Burned from Wood in a Charcoal Kiln.
| Name | Image | Biome | Crafting Station | Spawn ID |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Leather Scraps | Meadows | - | spawn LeatherScraps
| |
| Coal | All biomes | Charcoal Kiln | spawn Coal
|
When to Use It
This is opening hours gear. Everything it takes comes from the Meadows, so a character who has just stood up can make it.
Upgrades
You can upgrade it 3 times after crafting, and each level needs the station one level higher than the last. The stats quoted on this page are for quality 1, so the table below shows where your own copy sits:
| Quality | Crafting Station | Armor | Resources |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Workbench (Level 1) | 1 |
|
| 2 | Workbench (Level 2) | 2 |
|
| 3 | Workbench (Level 3) | 3 |
|
| 4 | Workbench (Level 4) | 4 |

Notes
- Armour reduces physical, fire, frost and lightning damage. It does nothing at all against poison or spirit damage.
- When your armour is less than half the incoming damage, it subtracts: health lost = damage - armour. When it is half the damage or more, it divides: health lost = (damage x damage) / (4 x armour). That second case looks like diminishing returns but is not, because the number of hits you survive keeps rising at the same rate.
- Your armour rating is the sum of the head, chest, leg and cape pieces you wear, so going without a helmet loses a quarter of the total.
