The Wood Beam 2m is the workhorse of the Supports section: two metres of squared timber for two Wood. It carries a floor further out from its posts than a pole ever will, which is how porches, jetties and the overhanging upper storey of a longhouse get built at all.

How to Build It

It needs two Wood and a Workbench nearby. Support bleeds away along a flat horizontal run, so a beam reaching out over nothing will turn the ghost red well before it crosses a hall. Carry it on posts down to the ground, or pitch it at an angle, and it holds a great deal more. Bear in mind that stone will not rest on timber, so any Stonecutter work has to be planned from the ground up rather than built off these.
