Bald Mountain is the main quest in which Ciri and Geralt take revenge for Vesemir. It starts right after Blood on the Battlefield. Imlerith, the general of the Wild Hunt who killed Vesemir, attends the Crones' sabbath on Bald Mountain. Ciri kills two of the three Crones, and Geralt kills Imlerith. The third Crone escapes with Vesemir's medallion.
Bald Mountain (Quest) Map Location and Quest Guide
Bald Mountain (Quest) map location:
- Walk up the road to Bald Mountain and talk to the guard at the top of the steps.
- Talk to Johnny in the village.
- Talk to Thecla in her tent and get permission to climb the mountain.
- Dive into the lake and find the coin Thecla threw in, using Witcher Senses.
- Kill or avoid the drowners on the way.
- Climb out of the water, watch out for the fiend, and give the coin to Thecla.
- Travel the path to the peak and defeat Fugas.
- As Ciri, follow the tunnel and swim to the Crones' cave.
- Kill the three Crones, using Blink to strike all three and break their spell.
- As Geralt, climb the path to the peak and find Imlerith.
- Kill Imlerith, burning off his frost coating with Igni and dodging his mace.
- Search near Imlerith's body for the magic acorn.
- Talk to Ciri once ready to go to Novigrad.

Choices
After the fight, Geralt can stay a while before leaving. A magic acorn lies near Imlerith's body. Eating it gives 2 skill points.
On the way down, villagers ask about the acorn. Geralt can give it to them so a new tree may grow. He can also keep it for himself.
