Grandmaster Ursine Trousers are heavy witcher trousers from Blood and Wine. They are the Grandmaster variant of the Ursine (Bear School) trousers. They give 91 armor and +11% adrenaline gain at level 40. Their diagram is in the Owl Eye Grottos, found during Scavenger Hunt: Grandmaster Ursine Gear. These trousers are a late-game find in Toussaint.
They also give +6% piercing, +11% slashing, +10% monster and +25% elemental resistance. The pieces give adrenaline gain, and the set bonuses are built around Quen. Together they suit a Quen tank or adrenaline build. Heavy armor gives the most protection, at the cost of slower stamina regeneration.
Set Bonus
The Ursine set is heavy armor with 5 tiers: Basic, Enhanced, Superior, Mastercrafted and Grandmaster. 3 pieces: a broken Quen shield has a chance to recast at no stamina cost, 5% per set piece. 6 pieces: damage from abilities that involve Quen rises by 200%.
How to Get Grandmaster Ursine Trousers
- Search the skeleton deep in the Owl Eye Grottos in Toussaint. It holds the trousers, boots and steel sword diagrams.
- A grandmaster armorer crafts them from Mastercrafted Ursine Trousers. The quest Master Master Master Master! in Beauclair unlocks this armorer.
Grandmaster Ursine Trousers Map Location and Quest Guide
The Grandmaster Ursine Trousers diagram lies on the remains of the Bear witcher Junod of Belhaven, deep in the Owl Eye Grottos, during Scavenger Hunt: Grandmaster Ursine Gear. The pin marks the diagram spot. The steel sword and boots diagrams are on the same remains, along with Junod of Belhaven's journal.
- Talk to Lafargue, the grandmaster smith in Toussaint, and ask him about the Ursine gear to start the hunt.
- Go to the collapsed house between Flovive and the Tufo Vineyard, and clear the rubble in the backyard with Aard.
- Loot the chest in the cavern below and read the owner's notes. They point to the Owl Eye Grottos.
- Drop down through the cave entrance at the Owl Eye Grottos and kill the giant centipede that attacks.
- Blast the rock wall with Aard and read the warning Junod left behind.
- Follow the symbols on the cave walls until another river comes into view.
- Kill the second giant centipede and drop down the ledge into the small area beyond.
- Loot the witcher's remains for the Grandmaster Ursine Trousers diagram.

Notes
In NG+ the diagram makes Grandmaster Legendary Ursine Trousers instead. They need level 40 plus the NG+ starting level. They give 93 armor at level 41, +17% adrenaline gain and +40% elemental resistance.
