Mountain Folk Boots are Relic light boots from the base game. They give +25% poison resistance. Eskel hands over a pair as the prize for winning the horse race in To Bait a Forktail... The crafted pair gives 35-39 armor at level 15. The crafted pair is mid-game gear. Eskel's pair comes from the race to Kaer Morhen.
Both pairs give +2% piercing, +2% bludgeoning, +5% slashing and +2% monster resistance, plus +25% poison resistance. The looted pair gives 7-11 armor and gains 2 per level.

How to Get Mountain Folk Boots
- Looted: Beat Eskel in the horse race to Kaer Morhen during To Bait a Forktail... and accept the boots as the reward. The Imp also drops a pair if he is killed during Contract: An Elusive Thief. They drop at random too, and all armorers in Skellige and Toussaint and the merchant at the sawmill northeast of Rannvaig sell them.
- Crafted: Find the diagram at a random diagram spot or buy it from armorers in Skellige and the sawmill merchant. An armorer crafts the boots.
Notes
Eskel's pair needs a win in the horse race. The Imp's pair needs the Imp killed.
