Mousesack, known in Skellige as Ermion, is a druid and the leader of the Druids' Circle of Skellige. He is an old acquaintance of Geralt. He lives on Ard Skellig and advises Jarl Crach an Craite. Geralt meets him in Skellige while searching for Ciri with Yennefer.
Lore
Most druids of Skellige look nothing like the common picture of a gray-bearded old man in white robes. Ermion is no exception. He is a stiff-bearded, wiry man. He advises Crach an Craite on magic and the mystical. He also advises him on any matter that needs more finesse than a well-timed punch or a hard-swung axe.
Ermion is stubborn. He also has a habit, rare in Skellige, of weighing every possible outcome before acting. Talking to him takes a great deal of time and patience. When persuasion and reason fail, he turns to violence as a last resort. Then he is a dangerous foe.
Story
A magic disaster has ruined a large part of Ard Skellig, and Yennefer suspects Ciri had something to do with it. Ermion keeps a magic artifact, the Mask of Uroboros, in his laboratory. During the wake for King Bran, Yennefer and Geralt break into the laboratory and steal it. Ermion is furious at this rash and reckless theft. Still, he puts his anger aside to help find Ciri. He tells them the Wild Hunt has recently attacked the village of Lofoten on Hindarsfjall.
Ermion and Geralt have a somewhat testy relationship. Even so, Ermion agrees at once to travel to Kaer Morhen and help defend Ciri from the Wild Hunt. He also fights beside Geralt when Madman Lugos attacks them in a rage, as the two have done in the past.
Relationships
Crach an Craite relies on Ermion as his advisor. Geralt is an old acquaintance, and Yennefer clashes with him over the stolen mask.
