Salmian Brigandine is a medium chest armor in Common, Master, Magic and Relic variants. Every variant gives +15% piercing, +20% bludgeoning and +20% slashing resistance. The Relic variant adds +100-150 vitality. The crafted variants arrive early in the game, at level 13.

The Master variants add 1 random effect and the Magic variants add 2. The crafted variants give 90-94 armor at level 13.

How to Get Salmian Brigandine

  • Master and Magic (crafted): Find the diagram at a random diagram location, or buy it from armorers in Novigrad, Oxenfurt and Skellige.
  • Common, Master and Magic: Buy it from the same armorers, or find it as random loot. Killing Morkvarg by feeding him his own flesh also gives one.
  • Relic: Random loot only.

Salmian Brigandine Map Location and Quest Guide

A Salmian Brigandine is the reward for killing the werewolf Morkvarg by feeding him his own flesh, during In Wolf's Clothing, a secondary quest at Larvik in Skellige. The pin marks the quest.

  1. Take In Wolf's Clothing from the notice board at Larvik, or through the main quests Missing Persons and Nameless.
  2. Talk to Josta at the Temple of Freya in Larvik.
  3. Go to Freya's Garden. Head for its southeastern end and climb the ladder past the small bridge.
  4. Continue past the floodgate levers to Morkvarg's cave and fight him until he falls. Loot the Werewolf Meat he drops.
  5. Back at the levers, open the left floodgate and climb into the garden.
  6. Examine the bloodied werewolf leg in the building with the broken door. Morkvarg appears.
  7. Defeat him again, then talk to him and feed him his own flesh. He dies, and the Salmian Brigandine is the reward.
