How to Get Skellige Gambeson

  • Magic (crafted): Side with Rufus during the unmarked secondary quest Strangers in the Night to get the diagram. It is also sold by most base-game armorers or merchants such as the ones in Ursten and Mohrin Village.
  • Common: Buy it from the same sellers, or find it as random loot.
  • Relic: Random loot only.

Skellige Gambeson Map Location and Quest Guide

Rufus gives Geralt the Skellige Gambeson diagram during Strangers in the Night, an unmarked secondary quest at a campfire on the riverbank east of the Eternal Fire Chapel and west of the Vegelbud Residence. The pin marks the diagram. Geralt only gets it if he sides with Rufus against Manfred.

  1. Go to the riverbank east of the Eternal Fire Chapel and west of the Vegelbud Residence, where Manfred, Rufus and Theophile Maria Rosco sit around a campfire.
  2. Sit down with them and introduce yourself as Geralt. Refusing to give a name makes Rufus and Manfred attack.
  3. Ask about the world. Manfred's knowledge of the war makes Rufus suspicious, and he tries to arrest Manfred.
  4. Tell them both to calm down.
  5. Agree to help Rufus hold Manfred. Rufus kills Manfred and gives Geralt the Skellige Gambeson diagram.
