Viper Venomous Silver Sword Map Location and Quest Guide

---

The pin marks the Viper Venomous Silver Sword in Gaunter O'Dimm's world, where it sticks out of a stone at the top of some stairs. Geralt enters this world only if he wagers his soul against O'Dimm to free Olgierd at the end of Whatsoever a Man Soweth..., the last main quest of Hearts of Stone. A strong specter guards the stairs.

1. Meet Olgierd's man at the Alchemy Inn. Gaunter O'Dimm is waiting there and tells Geralt to bring Olgierd to the Temple of Lilvani.
2. Visit Shani at her home and follow her to the Oxenfurt Academy. The quest marks this as optional, but skipping it means Geralt cannot challenge O'Dimm and the sword is lost.
3. Reach the Academy wall from the river, where Shani drops a rope. Deal with the witch hunters, climb the scaffolding to the balcony and blast the door with Aard.
4. Speak to Professor Shakeslock downstairs. He explains that O'Dimm can be beaten in a wager for a soul.
5. Travel to the Temple of Lilvani through the caves east of Toderas.
6. When O'Dimm comes to claim Olgierd, choose to help Olgierd and challenge O'Dimm.
7. In Gaunter's world, take the right-hand path at the first fork, cross the bridge, then keep left under the stone bridge.
8. Kill the specter in front of the stairs, then climb the stairs and jump the gap.
9. Pull the Viper Venomous Silver Sword out of the stone.
