Bes Isis
Type	Side Character

Bes Isis, born Nancy Hartley, is the former keyboard player of Samurai and now an investigative journalist for Network 54. She is known for chasing stories nobody else dares to cover. When she goes missing at a Maelstrom club, V goes in after her, and the meeting leads to the reunion of Samurai.

Biography

Samurai

Nancy was a fighter in a booster gang before she joined Samurai on keyboards. She left the band when she went to prison for throwing her abusive husband out of the window of their high-rise apartment. While she was locked up, the band fell apart.

The Journalist

After her release, she took the name Bes Isis and became a major media figure on Network 54. Her relentless pursuit of forbidden stories earned her a mixed reputation among other journalists. She once had her leg and chest replaced with chrome to fake an injury and get the story she wanted. She has a grown son named Dan.

Totentanz

Bes disappears while investigating Maelstrom at their club, the Totentanz. Depending on who leads the gang at that time, V helps her finish her interview with the leader or fights a way out of the building with her.
