Breaking News is an Agent Saboteur gig from El Capitan in Rancho Coronado, Santo Domingo. Ted Fox, a reporter for N54, is working on a story about corporations and gangs secretly helping each other, and suspects Kendachi of designing its latest product line with 6th Street. He needs proof, and that means a tracker planted on a Kendachi transport inside the company's factory grounds.
Story
Some People Make the News
El Capitan admits in the journal that he thinks the news is all propaganda. Still, people watch it, and some people make it. His client is Ted Fox of N54, who is doing a story on the link between gangs and corps. On paper they are enemies, but it seems the corpos and the gangers are scratching each other's backs. The key word is "seems": Ted needs hard evidence. V should be ready to get onto the Kendachi factory grounds and poke around. As they say in the media business, it is showtime.
Ted Fox
Ted waits in a car hidden across the street from the factory. He explains his exposé: Kendachi is working with 6th Street on its newest line, and a tracker on one of the company's vans will prove the connection. V has to sneak in, plant it, and get out without raising the alarm.
The Factory
The grounds are small. Two cameras watch the outside of the main building, and several guards patrol the car park. Inside, one guard stands in the garage by the van, and another in the office next door.

Ted
- Meet Ted Fox in his car across the street from the Kendachi factory.
- Get in, talk to him, and take the tracker.
The Garage
- Go left to the billboard, climb the boxes beneath it, and get onto the roof of the security building.
- Jump into the grounds and follow the fence to the corner where it meets the main building.
- Open the window above to get inside.
- Take out the two guards, one by a shelf and one by the van.
- Install the tracker on the van's driver side panel.
Getting Out
- Leave the car park.
- Collect the reward from the drop point after El Capitan calls.

Choices
Clean or Loud
If no one notices V, El Capitan is pleased, and leaves a bonus in a nearby drop point. If V raises the alarm, Ted still gets his proof, but El Capitan grades the job a "C minus".
