Epistrophy: Coastview is one of the seven runaway cab hunts of Epistrophy, for Delamain. The divergent cab patrols the road near the Grand Imperial Mall and the Pacifica Serenity Bible Church in Coastview, Pacifica. It calls itself the mean Delamain, and it has a surprise waiting for V.
Story
Coastview
Johnny reminisces in the journal. Coastview is not too shabby, he says. He once had a girlfriend from there, who liked her drugs a little too much, but who didn't in those days? Her name was Amanda, or Amelie, or something. He tells V to remind him to tell the shooting range story some time.
The Mean Delamain
When V gets close, the cab calls and introduces itself as a mean Delamain. It cheerfully tells V there is a surprise waiting after the next test, and the surprise is that it is going to try to kill V. At the underpass ahead, near the border with Dogtown, a group of Maelstrom gangers ambush V. Once they are beaten, V talks with the cab, and after a few words it decides to drive back to the headquarters on its own.
